Know what
you are approving.
A useful estimate starts with a clear description of the work. Ask which doors, devices, parts and access arrangements are included.

What request is being estimated?
A lockout, a planned rekey, a faulty latch, a vehicle-key replacement and a garage-door repair are different scopes. State the desired result and describe what currently works. The service pages help separate those situations.
Which hardware and parts are included?
Ask whether assessment, the proposed labor and any parts are included in the estimate being discussed. Confirm support for the actual lock, vehicle key system or garage equipment. This site does not publish fixed or starting prices that have not been verified.
What could change the scope?
Additional doors, compatibility findings, damaged hardware or access restrictions may change the proposed work. Ask how additional work will be explained and approved before it proceeds. A quote based on incomplete details should be discussed as such.
Who can approve the work?
A shared building entrance, business suite or rented home may need an owner or manager’s authorization. Have that contact ready. Confirm current availability and timing separately; a location name or geographic distance does not establish attendance.
